Survivor Camp Trip

Happy Friday! I'm still working on a new image buy it's going to take some time. I figured I'd write some posts anyway just to get back into the swing of things.

Anyway, every year my husband and I go on this camping trip with his friends. It's a lot of fun and they have been going for 12 years now so this started way before I met hubby. Last year I was pregnant. Yes, I went camping but I didn't participate in most of the festivities such as drinking and rafting.

So I wouldn't be bored I spent months thinking of challenges and creating a game of "Survivor." It was a blast. We made teams a month before the trip so I could make the buffs which were bandanas and I ironed on the Survivor logo with their team name. I was pretty impressed with the way they came out.

Then we started the challenges. The biggest challenge was to get a bunch of drunk 30ish year olds to cooperate. I felt like I was teaching one of my elementary classes. I actually would stop talking and giving them instruction till they were quiet. LOL

One of the challenges was to roll and ping pong ball down tape measure that was 5 feet long and have it land into a cup on a table. Sounds easier than it is. Actually, it is pretty easy when your sober. I got a lot of the challenges from the game show Minute to Win It.

There was also a hidden message that I hid in the cooler. When they found it, they read that clue, to themselves, which led them to the idol. The team with the player who found the idol earned two extra points.

There was no voting off because I didn't want anyone to have to sit around and watch. The team
with the most points won a necklace with a tiki that looked liked and immunity idol.

So now they want to make it part of the annual trip. We're going next weekend and I haven't even started planning. I have a few challenges written down but that's as far as I've gotten. If you have any ideas let me know!
